IDF Admits Delay in Informing Public About Hezbollah Attack

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have admitted to a delay in informing the public about the Hezbollah attack that took place on Wednesday (March 11) in northern Israel. This delay was acknowledged after information leaks on social media and publications in international media.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah launched approximately 200 rockets and 20 drones, which represent one-third of the organization's initial plans. The vast majority of the rockets were intercepted or fell in uninhabited areas, while two hit populated areas causing material damage and minor injuries to two people.
Army officials acknowledge that they should have shown greater transparency to the public, especially after the information leak. Timely information is considered important for maintaining public trust. The IDF will investigate the incident and seek to inform citizens in a timely manner in the future.
Since March 2, Hezbollah has been launching an average of 100 rockets daily towards Israel, in response to the death of Ali Khamenei. About two-thirds of the fires target military forces in southern Lebanon, while the remaining one-third is directed towards Israeli territory.
