IDF Chief Approves Plan for Expanded Operation in Gaza

The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), General Eyal Zamir, approved on Wednesday the core operational plan and principles for an expanded offensive in the Gaza Strip, the army announced.
The meeting, which included senior General Staff officers, officials from the Shin Bet internal security service, and other high-ranking defense figures, focused on assessing the current situation and determining the next steps.
According to the official announcement, an additional plan was presented and approved for the next steps to be taken in Gaza, as part of the overall strategy for complete control of the area. Details of the operation were not disclosed for security reasons.
This development comes at a time of increased tensions in the region, with the Israeli army declaring its readiness to take decisive action to address threats emanating from Gaza.
