Guterres: US strikes in Iran a 'dangerous escalation'

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has described the US strikes as a dangerous escalation in a region already on a knife's edge.

He also referred to an immediate threat to international peace and security.

He further stated that there is a growing risk of this conflict spiraling rapidly out of control, with devastating consequences for the region and all of humanity.

António Guterres reiterated that 'there is no military solution and that the only way out is diplomacy'.
