Gaza: Ship Sails On – Strike in Italy

One ship of the Global Sumud Flotilla continues to sail towards Gaza, after the others were seized by Israel in international waters. Over 450 activists, including 27 Greeks, are being held.
The ship Marinette, flying the Polish flag and carrying six passengers, is heading towards Gaza. It is approximately 100 km from Gaza's territorial waters.
In Italy, a general strike was held to protest the Israeli attack. In Piraeus, COSCO dockworkers went on a 24-hour strike.
Olga Lafazani, from the Greek mission, denounced the 'pirate' attack by Israel. Members of the Greek mission have started a hunger strike. Deputy Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou stated that she made a 'verbal demarche' to her Israeli counterpart.
The EU supported the Trump-Netanyahu plan for Gaza, asking anyone who can influence Hamas to 'end the impasse'.
The official death toll in Gaza has exceeded 66,000, with at least 440 dying of starvation.
