Gaza: Israeli Bombing of High-Rise Buildings – Residents' Testimonies
Share on:

Israeli bombings in Gaza have targeted high-rise buildings, leaving hundreds of residents homeless. Residents describe to Al Jazeera the dramatic moments of evacuating the buildings, shortly before their destruction.

According to testimonies, the Israeli army gives evacuation orders just 30 minutes before the attack, forcing residents to leave their homes without being able to take their belongings.

Abu Salah Khalil, a resident of the Mustaha Tower, described the agonizing effort to evacuate the building with his family, including his elderly parents. "I was carrying my disabled father with my brother, while my wife was helping my mother," he said.

Nadia Maarouf, displaced from Beit Lahia, described the terror when she heard about the impending bombing of the Al-Susi Tower. "We left everything and started running in the streets like crazy," she said.

According to Gaza's civil defense services, Israel has destroyed at least 50 buildings during its recent campaign.
