Gaza: Israeli Advance Accelerates - ALPHA Cyprus Reports
Israeli operations to seize Gaza City continue at an accelerated pace, with Palestinian sources close to Hamas reporting over 70 deaths in the last 24 hours.
As reported by ALPHA Cyprus analyst, Gavriil Haritos, if Israeli forces maintain this pace, the capture of the entire Gaza City is possible by next week. Haritos, citing Israeli and Egyptian military sources, noted that as of Thursday, September 25, the center of Gaza City and the neighborhoods of Zaitoun, Shajaiya, Tufah, Sieh Radwan and Nasr were under Israeli control. On September 27, the areas that had not been captured are in the coastal zone, especially the sea front of the Rimal district.
Gavriil Haritos estimated that the acceleration of Israeli operations is likely related to the meeting between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington. It is believed that Israel will have created accomplished facts on the ground, strengthening Netanyahu's position against pressure for the 21-point plan for Gaza.
In Lebanon, Hezbollah refuses to disarm, one year after the execution of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah. The leader of the organization, Naim Kassem, stated that Hezbollah will not surrender its weapons and denounced the government's disarmament plan.
