Gaza: Violence Escalates After Ceasefire

Violence in the Gaza Strip has escalated, reaching a weekly peak after the October 10th ceasefire, according to the UN.
The number of shootings, bombings, and attacks increased by 46% in the week of April 12-18 compared to the previous week, according to Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
The Israeli military stated that it is studying these statements. Its units hold roughly half of the Gaza Strip, while Hamas controls the remainder.
At least 770 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire, according to the Hamas Health Ministry. The Palestinian enclave has suffered enormous destruction from the war that began on October 7, 2023.
