Gaza: Egypt, Qatar and US working on 60-day ceasefire plan

Egypt, alongside Qatar and the US, is mediating between Israel and Hamas for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. The aim is to end the war that began on October 7, 2023.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati stated that Cairo is working with Doha and Washington to reach an agreement. The proposal includes the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Mediators are formulating a new ceasefire agreement proposal that would provide for the release of all hostages held in Gaza.
