CIA: Iran's Nuclear Program Severely Damaged
Share on:

The CIA announced that Iran's nuclear program has been severely damaged by recent US strikes and will take years to rebuild.

The administration of Donald Trump has refuted claims that Iran moved uranium before the US bombings. Donald Trump criticized media outlets for disclosing classified information regarding the effectiveness of the raids on facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

While Donald Trump claimed the facilities were completely destroyed, experts suggested Iran may have moved 400 kg of 60% enriched uranium. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated the US has no indication of uranium being moved.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated the agency lost the ability to monitor the material. According to a DIA document, the bombings only delayed Iran's nuclear program by a few months.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is expected to hold a press conference on the matter. Israel launched airstrikes against Iran on June 13, with Iran retaliating with missiles. A ceasefire went into effect on Tuesday.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe stated that Iran's nuclear program has been severely damaged and will take years to rebuild.
