The head of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, announced the withdrawal of Kurdish forces from eastern Aleppo starting tomorrow morning. The decision follows warnings from the Syrian army about military escalation.

According to a post by Abdi on platform X, the Kurdish forces will withdraw at 7 a.m. on Saturday from the area east of Aleppo and will be redeployed to areas east of the Euphrates. Abdi stated that the decision was made following appeals from friendly countries and mediators.

The decision comes after the Syrian army warned Kurdish forces to evacuate the area, accompanied by threats of new military strikes in case of non-compliance.
