Zelensky Agrees to Peace Solution After Trump Talks – Open to Territorial Concessions?

Volodymyr Zelensky has left open the possibility of territorial concessions after talks with Donald Trump and European leaders, following the Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska.
In a post, Zelensky advocated for a comprehensive peace solution instead of a ceasefire, a proposal that Trump mentioned was discussed with Putin. He stressed that all discussions, especially on the territorial issue, must be held with Ukraine present.
Trump has advocated for a direct peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine, sparking reactions in Kyiv.
Zelensky stated that security must be guaranteed reliably and long-term, with the involvement of both Europe and the US, after a phone call with European leaders.
Zelensky will meet with Trump on Monday in Washington to discuss the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
The US has offered Ukraine security guarantees similar to Article 5 of NATO, without Ukraine's formal accession to the Alliance.
European leaders expressed their support for a trilateral summit and stressed that Ukraine must have security guarantees to defend its sovereignty.
