President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented plans to develop drone exports and expand technological cooperation during a meeting with leading American businesses, according to his office.

Ukrainian arms exports have been limited since Russia's invasion in February 2022, with the defense industry focused on national defense efforts. Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has a strong drone manufacturing industry and over 300 technology companies.

Zelenskyy met with representatives from Amazon, Bank of America, Chemours, Citi, CRH, Fairfax, GE Vernova, Hogan Lovells, Jacobs, JPMorgan Chase, Lazard, Logistics Plus, Marsh McLennan, TechMet and Westinghouse. Some of these companies already operate or invest in Ukraine.

Ukraine plans to create export platforms in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Kyiv seeks to strengthen ties with the US and has attracted American businesses with investment opportunities.

Earlier this month, Ukraine and the US International Development Finance Corporation launched a joint fund with a $150 million investment.

Ukrainian officials stated that Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko plans to visit the United States for talks with American businesses.
