Zelenskyy: Ukrainian Assistance to Cyprus for Drone Defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed deploying Ukrainian interception teams to British bases in Cyprus to counter potential drone attacks.
Speaking to the British Parliament, Zelenskyy emphasized the increasing threat of drones and Ukraine's ability to contribute to Cyprus' defense by installing radar, acoustic surveillance systems, and creating a defense network.
Zelenskyy also referred to the role of drones in the modern battlefield, as well as Russia's 'shadow fleet,' highlighting the risks posed by tankers in European waters.
Finally, he stressed the importance of joint defense and technological cooperation for European security, proposing Ukrainian assistance in countering Iranian Shahed-type drones.
