Russia-NATO Hybrid War in the Baltic: Risk of Escalation Rises

Tensions are escalating in the Baltic Sea as Russia and NATO engage in a hybrid war. NATO is reinforcing its presence in the region, causing concern for Russia, which considers the Baltic Sea a crucial hub for its commercial and military vessels.

Russian Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev accused the West of initiating a 'hunt' for Russian ships and actively militarizing the Baltic Sea. He claimed that the West is preparing provocations and attempting to revise the rules of international maritime law.

The West has launched 'Baltic Sentry' to control Russian commercial shipping. Russia views this move as an attempt to turn the Baltic Sea into a 'NATO lake'.

Meanwhile, NATO conducted the 'Neptune Strike 25-2' exercise in the region, with Greece also participating. Russian forces have also reinforced their positions near the border with Finland.

Russia has stated that it will not allow NATO dominance in the Baltic Sea, especially after Finland and Sweden joined NATO.

The situation remains tense, with an increased risk of a hot incident in the region.
