Cyprus-Bahrain Agreements Signed: Christodoulides' Visit Significant

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, paid an official visit to Bahrain, his first bilateral visit abroad during the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU.

In a meeting with the King of Bahrain in Manama, President Christodoulides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations at the political, strategic, and economic levels.

Agreements were signed on the mutual recognition of higher education qualifications and memoranda of cooperation in areas such as military cooperation, diplomacy, education in research and rescue, culture, tourism, and information technology. An agreement was also signed between the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEBE) and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce.

The King of Bahrain expressed his expectation for the opening of an Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Bahrain and the holding of a business forum.
