The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, stated that 'the sky is the limit' in Cyprus-United Arab Emirates (UAE) relations during his meeting with the UAE's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lana Nusseibeh. The meeting took place at the Presidential Palace, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, and other officials.

President Christodoulides emphasized the strong political commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations, describing the UAE as Cyprus' most reliable partner in the Gulf. He expressed gratitude for the UAE's support in the 'Amalthea' humanitarian initiative and for the provision of desalination units.

Ms. Nusseibeh noted that Cyprus' relations with Israel and other Arab countries make it an ideal location for Gaza reconstruction efforts. She also stressed the importance of economic cooperation and a free trade agreement with the EU.

The two sides also discussed cooperation in the fields of energy, technology, artificial intelligence, and addressing water scarcity.
