Venezuela: Trump Urges Oil Giants to Return

Donald Trump, in a White House meeting, urged oil executives to invest in Venezuela, assuring the safety of their investments following the U.S. attack in Caracas and the abduction of Nicolás Maduro. Companies like Eni and Repsol participated in the meeting.
Trump stated that oil giants are ready to invest at least $100 billion in Venezuela, with the U.S. controlling the companies that will exploit the reserves. However, some, like ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods, appeared cautious due to previous asset seizures. Chevron, on the other hand, expressed interest.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright acknowledged that it would take time to restart oil production in Venezuela, which has the world's largest proven crude oil reserves. Washington intends to converse with interim president Delsy RodrĂguez.
