Trump Announces Meeting with Putin in Alaska, Hints at Territory Swap

Donald Trump announced he will meet with Vladimir Putin on August 15th in Alaska. The American president also mentioned a possible “territory swap” between Ukraine and Russia.

According to western officials, Putin proposed, through Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff, that Ukraine cede the eastern region of Donbas and Crimea to Russia.

Trump stated that there is a chance for a peace agreement, saying that “European leaders want to see peace. I believe President Putin wants to see peace, and Zelensky wants to see peace.”
