Trump Seeks Meeting with Putin and Zelensky for Ukraine Peace

Donald Trump announced a successful meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska and a phone call with Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, aiming for a comprehensive peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump stated that Zelensky will visit Washington on Monday, and if talks are positive, a meeting with Putin will be pursued. European leaders expressed support for Trump's initiative, emphasizing no compromise on Ukraine's sovereignty.
In a joint statement, European leaders welcomed Trump's effort and stressed the need for security guarantees for Ukraine, without restrictions on its armed forces or cooperation with third countries. They also emphasized that Russia cannot have a veto on Ukraine's path to the EU and NATO.
European leaders clarified that support for Ukraine will continue, and sanctions against Russia will be intensified as long as attacks continue.
