Former US President Donald Trump told the New York Post that the war in Iran will not last “much longer,” adding, “We are destroying them completely right now, it’s a total destruction.”

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Trump noted that it would “open automatically” after a possible US withdrawal.

Trump also stated, “My only goal was to ensure they don’t have nuclear weapons. They are not going to get nuclear weapons. When we leave, the Strait will open automatically.”

Referring to the night attacks near Isfahan, where a nuclear facility is located, he said, “It was great. Those were things we blew up. It was a big explosion.”

“So, we are taking away their nuclear capability, and we have achieved regime change. You know, we are dealing now with a completely different group of people, and they are much more reasonable than the previous ones, much more reasonable,” he said.
