Trump to Zelensky: "Peace Deal Better Than Ceasefire"

Donald Trump reportedly favored a "quick peace deal" over a ceasefire in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, following his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska, according to Axios.

Trump reportedly told Zelensky and NATO leaders that Putin wants a comprehensive agreement to end the war, not just a ceasefire. The conversation lasted over 90 minutes.

Zelensky announced he will travel to Washington on Monday to meet with Trump and discuss details regarding ending the war.

After the call with Zelensky, Trump spoke with NATO leaders and Ursula von der Leyen.
