Former US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Axios that he considers his personal involvement in choosing Iran's next leader necessary, drawing a parallel to his involvement in Venezuela.

Trump expressed his opposition to the succession of Ali Khamenei by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, arguing that such a development could lead the US to war.

Furthermore, Trump mentioned that Israeli President Isaac Herzog should pardon Benjamin Netanyahu. "I don't want anything to bother Bibi except the war with Iran," he emphasized.

Trump claimed that he has been discussing the issue of a pardon with Herzog for a year.
