Trump Urges Zelensky to Make a Deal to End Ukraine War

US President Donald Trump has once again urged his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, to strike a "deal" to end the war in Ukraine.

In an interview with Politico, Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "ready" for such a deal. Trump reiterated that Zelensky "has to move and make a deal" and that he "doesn't have the upper hand."

Earlier, Russia and Ukraine announced an exchange of 200 prisoners of war, a first step following negotiations in Geneva. A new trilateral meeting was postponed due to the war in the Middle East.
