Donald Trump announced a three-week extension to the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. He expressed optimism for a peace agreement by 2026 and mentioned a potential Netanyahu-Aoun meeting at the White House.

The American president stated there is a "very good chance" of achieving a peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon by 2026, following the announcement of the ceasefire extension.

In a post on Truth Social, he stated: "The United States is going to work with Lebanon in order to help them protect themselves from Hezbollah."

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Donald Trump's personal involvement "made possible" the extension of the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump clarified that he is not rushing into a deal with Iran, emphasizing that "there will be no deal unless it is proper and good for the U.S., our allies, and the whole world."

At the same time, the aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush is heading to the Middle East region.
