Trump: Iran War 'Will End Soon'

Donald Trump stated from Miami that the war against Iran "will end soon," without giving a timeline. His statements lowered oil prices.
Trump mentioned that the US and Israeli armies are "far ahead" of the four-week schedule. He also threatened to order a "much stronger" strike on Iran if Tehran blocks oil deliveries through the Strait of Hormuz.
The US military announced that it struck over 5,000 targets in ten days, including over 50 Iranian ships. Trump maintained doubts about the purposes of the war, saying the goal is to destroy Iran's military capabilities and prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
In Iran, the regime appeared to mobilize its supporters to celebrate the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as supreme leader, following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei. US and Israeli bombings have killed over 1,200 people, according to Iranian authorities.
The new supreme leader has not appeared publicly. Israel calls him a "tyrant." Trump stated he is not "satisfied" with the choice.
Iranian retaliatory attacks continue against Israel and its Gulf neighbors. Bahrain reported one death in an Iranian attack. A second Iranian missile was intercepted in Turkish airspace.
Hezbollah pledged allegiance to Iran's new supreme leader. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun accused Hezbollah of wanting to cause the "collapse" of Lebanon. Vladimir Putin assured Mojtaba Khamenei of his "support."
