Trump on Iran: Hopes for an Acceptable Agreement
Share on:

US President Donald Trump expressed optimism for a mutually acceptable solution to the Iran issue, while a large volume of ships and soldiers gathers in the Middle East.

In his statements, Trump mentioned that Iran is negotiating seriously and hopes that an acceptable agreement will be reached.

Answering a journalist's question about Iran, Trump stated that he cannot give a final answer, but does not rule out military conflict, while moderating his previous statements.

"We have very large, powerful ships heading there. I hope they negotiate something that will be acceptable," he said.

Regarding the statement by the Saudi Arabian Minister of Defense, Trump replied: "If you can come to a satisfactory agreement without nuclear weapons, then you have to do it. I don't know if they will, but they are talking to us, they are talking to us seriously."
