Trump Raises Tariffs on Canada Over Disliked Advertisement

Donald Trump announced a 10% increase in US tariffs on Canada, citing an advertisement he disliked. The advertisement, aired by the Ontario government, used words from former President Ronald Reagan against tariffs.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Canada published a false advertisement regarding Ronald Reagan's speech on tariffs. The Reagan Foundation reportedly stated that the advertisement misrepresents the presidential radio address and that permission was not granted for the use of the comments.
Trump stated that the advertisement should have been withdrawn immediately, but it was aired during the World Series. As a result, he increased the tariff on Canada by 10% above what they are currently paying.
The Ontario government had announced that it would discontinue the advertising campaign after reactions from Republicans.
