Turk-Libyan Research: South of Greek-Libyan Borders

Greece states it will not accept any violation of its sovereign rights following the signing of a memorandum between Turkish TPAO and Libyan NOC for seismic research in four blocks south of the Greek-Libyan maritime borders.
The signing ceremony in Istanbul featured a map of the Turkish-Libyan agreement, indicating Turkish intentions. The agreement follows Libyan démarches (Tripoli and Benghazi) regarding the tender for blocks south of Crete, in which Chevron is interested.
NOC stated that the agreement includes two-dimensional seismic surveys (10,000 km) and data processing within 9 months. The relevant map with the four blocks was published. The agreement was signed in Istanbul by Eng. Masoud Suleman (NOC) and Mr. Ahmet Turkoglu (TPAO).
