The Turkish nationalist press is mocking the suspension of the GSI cable project, presenting it as an example of the failure of Greek ambitions and an indication that "nothing progresses without Turkish consent." The newspaper Aydinlik reports that the cessation of GSI justifies the Turkish strategy of pressure.

The publication claims that Greece and the "Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus" stopped the project of transferring electricity in the Eastern Mediterranean due to high costs and Turkish intervention. It considers GSI as a political vehicle for excluding Turkey and not as a technical project.

The Turkish side presents the loss of Greek control over the project as a "defeat," as the new feasibility study will be carried out by the European Commission and not by ADMIE. They also point out Israel's distancing due to the great water depth and cost.

The publication culminates with the claim that Turkey "blocked" the project with its frigates, preventing technical preparations and forcing the suspension of research. At the same time, it expresses concern about Greece's new energy plans with American support.

Finally, it is reported that Israel is pushing for strategic convergence with Greece, countering the Turkish "Blue Homeland".
