Turkish Ship Passes Strait of Hormuz After Clearance

A Turkish-owned vessel, which had been waiting near Iran, was permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz after authorities received clearance from Tehran, according to Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu.
Uraloglu stated that Ankara has declared a high-level security alert for the strait and is in constant contact with Iranian officials regarding the status of the remaining 14 Turkish ships in the area. The ship that passed through the strait was the Rozana.
Additionally, Turkish Airlines and Ajet have canceled flights to various destinations in the Middle East until March 19 and 20, while Pegasus Airlines has canceled flights until March 28. Turkish Airlines has added flights to Oman, and 76 flights have been diverted to Turkey since February 28.
