Turkey Aims to Create Israel-Style Iron Dome

Turkey aims to create an Iron Dome, similar to Israel's, prioritizing its air defense. Tayyip Erdoğan, returning from the NATO Summit in The Hague, stated that the country needs to establish multi-layered air defense systems.
Erdoğan mentioned that the Russian S-400 systems are not sufficient and spoke of a 'system of systems,' a combination of radar and air defense. Analysts estimate that the creation of Turkey's Iron Dome is in its early stages and will take years to complete.
Ankara fully supports NATO's decision to more than double defense spending to 5% and has already exceeded the 2% required of member states.
