Turkish Cypriot academic and researcher, Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu, was denied entry to Turkey and deported back to the occupied territories. According to an announcement by his friend, Mahmut Anayasa, Çavuşoğlu arrived at Antalya Airport, where he was informed that he was banned from entering Turkey based on code N-82, which is used for 'foreigners involved in activities against national security'.

Dr. Çavuşoğlu was detained at the airport awaiting deportation. Yeni Düzen recalls that similar deportations have occurred in the past, such as the cases of Özay Hüseyin Kortdere (2020), Ali Bizden (2021), Ahmet Ciavit An (2021), Ali Kismir (2021), and Okan Dağlı (2022).

Çavuşoğlu is known for his satirical collages, which often criticize the regime in the occupied territories and the Turkish government.
