Taiwan Protests Chinese Drone Flight in South China Sea

Taiwan's Defense Ministry has protested the flight of a Chinese reconnaissance drone over the Pratas Islands in the South China Sea.
According to the ministry, the drone entered Taiwan's airspace for eight minutes at an altitude beyond the range of anti-aircraft weapons. The action was described as "provocative and irresponsible."
Taiwan, which has a democratic government, is considered by China to be its own territory. Taipei frequently reports Chinese military activity in the area.
