Cyprus-Israel FM Meeting: Energy, Defense, Gaza Discussed

Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, met with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa'ar, in Israel. The two sides discussed the progress in Cyprus-Israel relations, focusing on energy, defense, and investments.
According to a statement, the Cypriot side emphasized the strategic nature of the relationship. Furthermore, the situation in Gaza and the provision of humanitarian aid were discussed, with Cyprus seeking a mediating role.
Mr. Kombos was briefed on humanitarian aid support efforts by the CENTCOM's Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC). Finally, energy synergies, security schemes in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC) were discussed.
