Herzog to Meet Pope Leo at Vatican Over Gaza War

Israeli President Isaac Herzog will meet with Pope Leo at the Vatican on Thursday to discuss the war in Gaza.

The visit, which comes at the invitation of the Pope, will also include a meeting with Cardinal Pietro Parolin and a visit to the Vatican Archives and Library.

Discussions will focus on securing the release of hostages, combating antisemitism, and protecting Christian communities in the Middle East. Pope Leo has repeatedly called for an end to the war and the provision of humanitarian aid.
