Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will meet in Alaska on Friday at 22:30 (Greek time). According to the Kremlin, the crisis in Ukraine will be the central topic of the meeting.

Following the one-on-one meeting, there will be a working breakfast between the US and Russian delegations, as well as statements from the two leaders.

Putin's advisor, Yuri Ushakov, stated that sensitive issues will be discussed, including trade and economic matters. The discussion will take into account what was said at the Kremlin on August 6 with the participation of the American president's advisor, Stephen Whitkopf.

The meeting will be attended by Russia's special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian state investment fund RDIF, as well as Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

Ushakov called it symbolic that the meeting will take place near the burial site of nine pilots from the Soviet era.
