Trump Meets al-Sara: "He's Doing a Very Good Job"

US President Donald Trump met with the transitional President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sara, at the White House. The meeting marks a significant step for the former jihadist.
The State Department announced the suspension of sanctions against Syria for 180 days, pending a decision by Congress on their final lifting.
Trump expressed his confidence in Ahmed al-Sara, saying he is doing "a very good job" in Syria. The Syrian presidency reported that they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
Information Minister Hamza al-Mustafa announced that Syria has signed a cooperation agreement with the international anti-jihadist coalition.
The US government will allow Syria to reopen its embassy in Washington.
Syria will become the 90th member of the coalition against the Islamic State (ISIS).
