At least ten people have been killed by a drone strike on a market in the town of Al Malha, Darfur. The incident caused a fire in commercial shops, according to the Rapid Response Core.

The North Darfur zone has been under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since March. Neither the army nor the RSF have commented on the incident.

Doctors Without Borders has warned of a measles epidemic in Darfur, with more than 1,300 people hospitalized since September. The UN has warned of potential atrocities in Kordofan, where the RSF have focused their operations.

Humanitarian organizations have evacuated their staff from Kadugli due to deteriorating security conditions. The UN confirmed famine in the city in November.

The country is divided into zones controlled by the army and the RSF. Darfur is fully controlled by the paramilitaries.
