Russia-Ukraine War: At Least 128,115 Russian Soldiers Dead

According to a BBC investigation in collaboration with the Russian website Mediazona and volunteers, the names of 128,115 Russian soldiers killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine have been identified.

54% of the dead were volunteers, conscripts, and convicts recruited from prisons. During the summer, 23,305 obituaries of Russian soldiers were recorded, with 400-420 obituaries published on some days.

Prisoners make up 14% of the dead, while volunteers make up 29%. Russia is also losing highly skilled personnel, with 5,704 officers having lost their lives, including 12 generals.
