Rubio Convenes US, India, Australia, Japan Quad Meeting

Marco Rubio will host his counterparts from Australia, Japan, and India in Washington next week, the State Department announced.
The meeting aims to "promote a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific region," according to State Department Deputy Spokesperson, Tommy Pigott.
Shortly after Donald Trump's return to the White House in January, the new Secretary of State's first diplomatic contact was with his counterparts from these three countries.
For the US, the Asia-Pacific region is a priority.
