Israel has announced it will halt imports of military equipment from France, deeming the country's policy as 'hostile.' This decision follows a series of actions by France considered hostile by Israeli authorities.

According to a spokesperson for the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the ministry's director-general decided to cease defense purchases from France, redirecting those funds to the domestic market or allied countries.

Among the actions that have upset Israel are Paris' recognition of the State of Palestine in September 2025 and the ban on Israeli aircraft carrying ammunition for the war against Iran from crossing French airspace.

Donald Trump had criticized France, accusing it of being 'very uncooperative' in the war against Iran due to the ban on using its airspace.

According to a report, between 2015 and 2024, French defense industries received orders worth €223.2 million from Israel. France states that it does not deliver weapons to Israel but exports components intended to be integrated into defense systems or re-exported.
