Netherlands: 200 Arrests at NATO Summit Protest in The Hague

Dutch police arrested approximately 200 people protesting on the sidelines of the NATO summit, which concluded yesterday in The Hague.
The protesters, mainly members of the environmental organization Extinction Rebellion, blocked a major highway, protesting the decision by Alliance leaders to approve a significant increase in military spending by member states and against Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip.
Police used batons in some cases, and journalists reported incidents during the arrests. An additional 30 arrests were made on Tuesday, the first day of the summit.
