The United States is planning new arms sales to Israel worth $6 billion, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

The deal includes $3.8 billion for 30 AH-64 Apache helicopters and $1.9 billion for 3,250 infantry armored vehicles.

The arms sales will be financed through American foreign military funding. The State Department is awaiting approval from the leaders of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

This move comes despite tensions between the two countries, with the Trump administration showing strong support for Israel.
