Norwegian Newspaper: Trump Wanted the Nobel Prize

According to the Norwegian financial newspaper Dagens Naeringsliv, Donald Trump inquired about the Nobel Peace Prize in a phone call with the Norwegian Minister of Finance, during which trade tariffs were also discussed.

The newspaper reports that Trump raised the issue of the Nobel Prize in a conversation with Jens Stoltenberg, former Secretary General of NATO, who confirmed the phone call but declined to comment further on its content.

The White House announced a 15% tariff on imports from Norway on July 31.
