Nikos Christodoulides Attends Grand Egyptian Museum Inauguration

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, is traveling to Egypt today to attend the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, following an invitation from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that the President's presence recognizes Egypt's cultural wealth and the ties between Cyprus and Egypt.
The museum, located near the Giza Pyramids, spans 500,000 sq.m. and houses over 100,000 exhibits from Egyptian history.
The President is accompanied by Deputy Minister of Culture Vasiliki Kassianidou, Director of the Diplomatic Office Doros Venezis, and officials. President Christodoulides will return the same day and will attend his father's memorial service in Geroskipou on Sunday.
