New Round of Talks Tomorrow Between Israel and Lebanon

Lebanon demands the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from its territory, as well as the return of Lebanese prisoners and displaced persons, within the framework of negotiations with Israel, stated Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, ahead of the new round of talks tomorrow in Washington.

In a joint press conference with the President of France in Paris, the Lebanese Prime Minister also mentioned that his country will need 500 million euros to deal with the humanitarian crisis in the next six months.

Emmanuel Macron said that Paris will help Beirut prepare for talks with the Israeli side, even though the French government is not represented at the negotiating table.

Lebanese authorities announced that at least 2,454 people have been killed due to Israeli strikes since the outbreak of the war between the pro-Iranian Hezbollah and Israel. The injured number 7658.
