NATO: Missile Targeting Turkish Airspace Intercepted

Turkey announced that NATO air defenses destroyed an Iranian ballistic missile headed towards Turkish airspace.
Turkey cautioned all parties to refrain from actions that would further escalate tensions, indicating it is not immediately seeking support from NATO. However, Ankara could potentially invoke Article 4 of NATO following the airspace violation, a move that could lead to the activation of Article 5, concerning the mutual defense obligation of members.
A NATO spokesperson stated that the alliance condemns Iran's targeting of Turkey.
