Mexico: President Sheinbaum Denies Risk of US Military Intervention

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that there is no risk of a US military intervention in Mexico. The statement follows reports that Washington may take measures to combat drug cartels.
Sheinbaum emphasized that her government was informed of an upcoming order, which is not related to the deployment of the American military on Mexican soil. Furthermore, she mentioned that Mexico is not investigating alleged ties between Nicolás Maduro and the Sinaloa cartel.
Pam Bondi, the US Attorney General, announced that the US government has doubled the amount offered for information regarding the arrest of Maduro, whom they accuse of drug trafficking. Sheinbaum stated that she has no evidence of such ties and that Mexico is not conducting a related investigation.
