Macron: French soldier dead in Erbil, Iraq

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that a non-commissioned officer of the French armed forces lost his life during an attack in Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan.
According to President Macron, the deceased is Staff Sergeant Arnaud Frion, of the seventh battalion of alpine riflemen, who fell for France. He is one of six French soldiers who were injured in a raid in Erbil, with the French President stressing that the war in Iran cannot justify such attacks.
