Lebanon to File Complaint Against Israel at UN Over Wall Construction

Lebanon will file an official complaint against Israel at the UN Security Council regarding the construction of walls in the southern part of the country. Beirut claims the walls occupy 4,000 square meters of Lebanese territory.
Israel responds that the constructions are confined to its territory. The UN peacekeeping force, UNIFIL, announced that the walls violate the Blue Line, the border between Lebanon and Israel following the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire agreement in November. Israel disputes the border violation.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has ordered the submission of the complaint to the UN.
